Telstar Retrofit Solutions Can Help You Take Advantage of This Valuable Printing Category
Upgrading and enhancing the power of your existing press equipment will allow you to perform exactly the tasks needed to produce forms, booklets, two-sided print jobs, patterned adhesives, kiss-cut die cutting, unique folds and more.
Telstar installed its custom In-Line Finishing Module for digitally printed forms on this Kodak printer processing at 400 FPM. A festoon serves as a buffer while controlling speed. The Telstar Servo Die Station runs magnetic cylinders with repeats to 30.5”. The built-in Die Hoist facilitates tool changes. Products are shingled on an 8’ Telstar Conveyor. Scrap is chopped and evacuated to an outdoor dumpster.
Or Build a Full-Frame Custom Converting System for Those Long-Term Form and Ballot Production Contracts
Telstar custom designed, engineered, manufactured and installed this All-Servo Driven 20” wide press for finishing digitally printed election ballots produced by several digital printers. Processes include one spot color printed front or back, creasing, scoring, rotary die perforating, sheet cutting within a rotary die station and shingling on an 8’ conveyor. With production rates up to 400 FPM, edge trim is chopped and evacuated.
Telstar Conveyors Work Harder, Faster & Much More Efficiently
Take total control of the business end of your press with Telstar PLC managed conveyors like this shingling unit on a Mark Andy P7 Press. We work with systems of all sizes of any label press brand to upgrade your press profit performance.
With our PLC Control system’s color touch screen HMI, Telstar custom-configured and installed conveyors put production profitability first. It allows communication with the parent machine, monitoring system readiness as well as safety shutdown of the press and conveyor if a guard is removed or a jam occurs. The Upper Conveyor can be operated in either a manual mode or set to automatically follow the speed of the press up to 400 FPM.
The Lower Conveyor speed is set manually to establish the desired amount of shingle. A spike action occurs on the Lower Conveyor upon reaching a pre-determined count. Matching the width of the parent press, the Lower Conveyor can be ordered a 6’, 8’ or 10’ lengths. Add Static Bars is a frequently selected option. Telstar offers a wide range of job-specific and flexible Conveyor Systems for Shingling, vertical customized systems with vacuum rollers, matched velocity stacking, free-standing applications, long collection beds, manual and/or automatic operation and electric-eye auto counting. Reduce waste and labor costs with these perfect press partners to accelerate your die-cut product production.
