Do you have a Canning story from the past 45 years?

We would love to hear from any of our team members (owners, contractors, engineers, architects) that we have had the pleasure to work with over the years. If you have a story, favorite memory or something that you want to share, feel free to send us an email.

May

May brings on a variety of flowers from April showers enhancing natures beauty.  Many historic interiors use flowers not only in decorative paint finishes but they are also used in ornamental plaster. Most plaster ceilings received some geometric boarder design, often evoking the plaster wall paneling within the same space. These were sometimes embellished further by including floral elements, such as blooming flowers and creeping vines. Ceiling motifs from different architectural movements vary but flowering design and floral elements have been a common theme.  If you are interested in learning more about flower patterns and other ornamental plaster ceiling designs throughout history, you can read more here.
