As it has always been, we are tremendously encouraged by your resiliency and dedication to your staff, patient and communities in the after-effects of Hurricane Helene. We know that the last few weeks have brought a myriad of challenges to many facilities in our network, and we are so honored to know each of you as committed healthcare professionals and are so proud of the ways you have worked, and continue to work, together across the network to support each other. There is no doubt that the HomeTown network is overflowing with professionals that continue to defy the odds of every obstacle stacked against them time and time again. Thank you for what you have done and what you continue to do.

If your facility or community still needs support in hurricane recovery, please let Jimmy or Kristy know. |

|
On November 14th, 2024, CareSource will be hosting a Human Trafficking Summit in partnership with Rescuing Hope. The focus of this summit is collaboration. Highlighting how a Medicaid health plan can be a valuable player in the fight against trafficking, hearing from experts on barriers seen in the community that need to be addressed and what CareSource is doing to help those members that they serve. This summit is for people that are working with victims and/or survivors of Human Trafficking. We all have different lenses in our work however at some point we will come across someone that has been impacted by this horrific crime. This summit will be a great way to network with those in the community that are providing services from law enforcement to Non-Governmental entities, faith based communities and National organizations. Our presenters will share a wealth of knowledge from a Survivor’s heart, a Judge who has amazing passion to help provide much needed treatment for these children and a gentleman that is dedicated to reaching schools and kids of all ages and training on prevention. This summit will definitely leave you with a new perspective and a passion to continue this fight against trafficking. Georgia Pathways to Coverage
|
Georgia Pathways to CoverageTM (Pathways) is a Medicaid eligibility category in Georgia that launched in July 2023. Pathways seeks to increase access to affordable, quality healthcare coverage, lower the uninsured rate across Georgia, support participating members on their journeys to financial independence, and promote members’ transitions from Medicaid into private coverage.
As trusted healthcare providers in Georgia, we are often the first points of contact for uninsured and underinsured individuals who may be eligible for Pathways. Helping uninsured Georgians apply for and get enrolled in Pathways would increase reimbursement on services we render to these currently uninsured individuals. We hope that by promoting this program and enrolling more Georgians in healthcare coverage, we can play a part in increasing access to affordable healthcare, and promoting financial stability for hospitals, healthcare systems, and the state. To learn more and to find downloadable resources, please visit pathways.georgia.gov.
Georgians can apply through the Gateway Customer Portal online at gateway.ga.gov.
If you are interested in learning about how you can help enroll Georgians in healthcare coverage, please reach out to the Pathways outreach team at georgia.pathways@dch.ga.gov. Pathways Eligibility:

$25,820 per year or $2,151 on average per month for a family of three
