Integrative Mental Health Intensive Workshop

Join clinician Shari B. Kaplan, LCSW for a two- day CME accredited workshop providing an in-depth approach to best practices for integrative mental health. Kaplan will educate on her integrative approach from assessments, treatment plans and process. She begins with a thorough psychosocial assessment (this includes Bio-psychosocial assessment, family attachments/dynamics, medical history, spiritual beliefs, exercise, nutrition, relationships, strengths/deficits) to have an in depth understanding of patient, prepare for treatment and create treatment goals.
She will share when and how to use plant medicine and cannabis as natural approaches in treatment both with and without conventional medicine. Kaplan will demonstrate techniques for applying focused work using modalities like EMDR, IFS, ego state work, CBT and Functional Spirituality. (EMDR & IFS are demonstrated in how they are applied).
Attendees will learn strategies in the 'process phase' on teaching self-regulation, behavior change skills to assist patients in their daily lives and how to interweave movement & music. Kaplan will additionally explore ways to leverage microdosing of cannabis and other plant medicine, alongside with lifestyle changes, and adjunctive therapies (nutrition, exercise, meditation, mindfulness, breath work, acupuncture/body work) to maintain therapeutic momentum during and outside of treatment, assisting patients in improving the quality of their lives. This dynamic workshop provides clinicians with an integrative mental health approach to treatment. Both with and without psychedelic assisted therapy.
