When Parts Become the Most Important Part of Your Day …
As an American manufacturer, Telstar Engineering has taken the position that investments in new equipment is the best way to head into the future as the “COVID 19 “lockdown” eased a bit. While existing manufacturing tools and machines did provide solid service, it became clear that Telstar’s production could be upgraded for quicker response to these new market demands. So Telstar made a strong commitment to our industry by doing for our own business what we have encouraged printers to do to their presses for years. We upgraded our plant manufacturing equipment to stay ahead of the demand.
New & Now on the Job for Telstar Customers …
This turning machine from ROMI C Series, equipped with CNC SIEMENS control package offers great flexibility for producing different type of parts with optimal levels of power, quick movements, and accuracy. This machine is equipped with an automatic indexing tool turret, offering a significant reduction of machining time. It can be operated in manual mode by electronic hand-wheels and in automatic mode while its 3D color graphics provide a quick view of all tool paths for process verification. This is an ideal machine for fast and efficiently producing small quantities of precision parts.
SHARP 3-AXIS CNC VERTICAL MILLING MACHINE
Telstar’s technicians are utilizing the features of this 3-axis CNC vertical milling machine with its Millpwr 3D graphical controller for producing limited quantities of precision parts and custom prototypes. One-of-a-kind custom manufactured components are rapidly produced within the 15” by 31” work envelope. These production advances further boost Telstar’s manufacturing of its wide line of custom retrofit units for both new and veteran label presses of all brands. And, as the market for highly specialized, full frame converting presses continues to grow, the company will take advantage of its in-house parts manufacturing to expedite delivery and installation of these challenging projects.
A RECENT INSTALLATION:
A progressive label printer recently added the capability of creating piggy-pack / peel-and-reveal type labels to their list of capabilities. Two prime labels are printed across from each other, then the back label is “looped-over” on top of the front label creating the two-layer label.
