Road Hazard Spotlight
You've probably heard, on many occasions, about the “crumbling infrastructure” in America. Regardless of your level of buy-in to that sentiment, there really is little doubt that our bridges and roads could use some attention. This is music to the ears of F&I Pro’s who offer road hazard protection to their consumers.
A quick Google search reveals a laundry list of newspaper articles from around the country addressing this very topic…and the consequential damage (expense) that poor road conditions cause vehicles (drivers). Recently, it has been reported that on average a driver in the U.S. will spend an additional $300 per year as a direct result of poor road conditions. A recent report out of Chattanooga, TN increases that figure fivefold to $1,500. One of the leading factors is, you guessed it, POTHOLES.
The tires and wheels are the only part of a vehicle that makes contact with the road, and the road can be a very dangerous place. Do some research, boost your evidence manual and arm yourself to sell more of this valuable protection.
