January

The month of January brings days that are gradually providing additional sunlight which in turn start to extend the days and can often boost moods. It is a time of year that represents opening of the door to the new year ahead, and a time to dream big and think positive for a bright future. Typically in our line of work as specialty architectural arts contractors when doors come into play, it usually involves historic wood restoration, conservation or the decorative finishes art of woodgraining (faux bois). That type of work, whether it be providing wood conservation cleaning at the Henry Ford Estate, historic wood restoration at The Mark Twain House & Museum or woodgraining doors at University of Virginia, we continue to use our knowledge and expertise to achieve our goal of perfecting preservation and are honored to be able to help keep the history in these buildings alive. We are looking forward to the year ahead to continue the work we enjoy doing while making an impact by continuing to preserve the architectural, classical tradition and cultural heritage with our preservation, restoration and conservation efforts. If you are interested in learning more about the art of woodgraining or historic wood restoration, check out the blogs below.
