April

April is the month of the promise of beauty with rain showers bringing on flowers and colorful surroundings.  Flower patterns and colorful surrounds can be found in historic interiors everywhere and appreciated all year round. The use of stencils in historic interiors is a common decorative finishes technique to incorporate various patterns and colorful finishes. Stencils have been used to help reinstate and create decoration for historic structures all around the world throughout all types of structures such as houses, civic buildings, museums, churches and theaters.  You can read more about the use of stencils in historic interiors here.

Before you go...

 Congratulations!!

The 2021 Palladio Award Winners include two projects we have been involved in.
The Mark Twain House and Museum Mahogany Suite project has won a 2021 Palladio Award in the category of Restoration and Renovation for David Scott Parker Architects. For the Mahogany Suite we restored the architectural woodwork and plaster as well as reinstated the wallcoverings in the Mahogany Suite.
Architect Duncan G. Stroik's The Christ Chapel project won in the New Design & Construction--less than 30,000 sq.ft. Palladio Award category.  We provided some interior decorative and faux finishes for the Hillsdale College Christ Chapel project.

Do you have a Canning story from the past 45 years?

We would love to hear from any of our team members (owners, contractors, engineers, architects) that we have had the pleasure to work with over the years. If you have a story, favorite memory or something that you want to share, feel free to send us an email.
